I saw where you had a Roper listed and wanted to touch base with you to see if there
is any relationship to Aaron Roper (his dad was James
Roper) that married Martha Elizabeth Crane. She was born in 1837 in Pickens Co., GA. Her dad was
Hiram H. Crane Sr. born in 1804 in N.C., her grandfather was
William Crane. We don't know when he was born but we have a copy of a
will dated Feb. 1818 and recorded Oct. Court 1837 in Rutherford Co., N.C.
James is listed as one of the witnesses on the will. Aaron died but I don't have the date. If you have any
information on any of these people please let me know. Thanks

After further research (death certificate), I've discovered that Lillian
A Johnson was my grandfather's SISTER, not his cousin.
Her daughter Beatrice was named for their sister Beatrice.
Her birth date on the death certificate is September 11, 1867 and
death was October 20, 1920 which made her 53 yrs. old. She was
born in Berkshire, England. Thanks again for your wonderful
website!

I have noticed that you have posted on roostweb re
Charles & Ella Roloson. My ggrandfather was Joseph
Roloson, Charles' brother. My mother & I, who is a daughter of
William & Irene Rolson, were recently in Langton
(Ontario) to visit the Roloson gravesites. We actually restored the floral arrangement that was at Charles & Ella's site, next to Ida May.
I started my Roloson research in 1980 - the hard way at the Ontario Archives and let it go for a long time while raising my family.
About 2 years ago I started on the web and have shared a lot of my info with
Kim & Joe Cornilesson who have done endless research and have just about the whole thing posted on
Rootsweb.
There are a number of Rolosons in the U.S. as well who were quite pleased to find out that the missing Aaron had come to Canada. I
always knew the link was there and Kim & Joe found the 1st Aaron on the 1851 census living with his son,
Brockway.
You may have already been in touch with them and I hope to hear from you as well as to your exact connection.

Roy's father was George B. Rahn, and his father, William Rahn, and his father, Philip

B. Wingrove was my great grandfather. My grandmother's name was
Thelma Belle (Wingrove)
Groves. (born Dec. 31,1908 -
died Oct. 1, 1994) She had two older sister named Beatrice and Ruth. She also had
a younger sister named Mildred.
Johnny B. was not a Jr. but
a daughter that died at only a few months old. His wife's name was Elizabeth and he called her Bessy. I would
appreciate any other information you have on the ancestry of this family.

From the census it looks like Isaac Blair was here since he was
about 8 or 9 and probably married here. If they married in Fayette, the
record should be in Uniontown courthouse. If he was here in Perry Twp., it
may give us a clue as to where Mary Catherine DeHaven was living when they
married. He married in 1903. Nellie and Elmer may have married
here also.
