ADDISON KLINE

Fanny and Martin Kline's oldest child, Addison, was born September 15, 1866 in Stark County, Ohio. January 31, 1893 Addison married Harriet Grill (died 1908 and buried in St. Joe, Indiana). Addison and Hattie, as she was known, had one child, Maude Beatrice Kline. They had a house in Auburn or Butler, DeKalb County, Indiana. According to their great-granddaughter, "Addison live in Tarzana, California and worked on a ranch owned by Edgar Rice Burroughs." He may have worked as a cook. Addison owned a restaurant in Auburn but became very ill and had to sell the business. Addison also lived in Watchung, New Jersey. "Apparently he lost his leg because one day he was burning trash, Hattie told him to wait until she got back. He didn't listen, burned the trash while she was away and eventually his leg had to be cut off."
