Ada May and Oscar Miller Jenkins' second child, Wilbur Harold, was born November 2, 1908 in Winchester, Frederick County, Virginia. Wilbur served in the army during WWII. He married in November 1945 but was later divorced. He remarried March 9, 1947 (his wife is still living). Wilbur had 2 children, a girl and a boy, both still living. After Wilbur retired, he enjoyed making handcrafted wood items, a skill and love he obviously inherited from his grandfather, David Wingerter. My mother remembers that her Uncle Wilbur would always fill her plate so full! At least it seemed that way to her as a young girl.

My mother visited with Wilbur's widow last year and taped an oral history.Wilbur was a friendly man who talked to everybody.
