Surnames (Seeking)

Individuals on this site are separated into one main database corresponding to the family history narratives and 5 subgroups mainly corresponding to queries. Each has its own list of surnames and individuals.

To search for a surname on this page, there are 3 practical methods, shown in order of preference:

1. Visually scan through all lists below. This is the preferred method due to potential spelling variations.
2. If using a PC, type Ctrl-F to bring up the 'Find' menu. You can search for parts of surnames as well as complete surnames on this page with this method. The downside is that this will only find a name if your spelling matches my spelling.
3. Select 'search surname list' on the search engine that appears near the top of every page of this website and enter a complete surname. This has the same downside, but the upside is that it can be used from any page.

**The same surname could appear in more than one column/database.**
