From Ball Geneology: Mary (Polly) Ball was dau. of Amos Ball, born
Weathersfield, Vt. died Harford, Susq. Co. Wife was Mercy Whitney. They
settled on Tunk. Creek, now East Lemon, in 1811.Mary was married first to John Bloomfield and had a son, William Orville Stoger
Bloomfield. John left one day and never returned. They assumed he had been
killed by the indians rather than just leaving Mary. She married Matthew
Wilsey and had Judson, Horace, Elmira and Sarah. They moved to Iowa. Mary's
son William was left behind to be raised by his grandparents. He was planning
a trip to see his mother in 1870 when he received word she had died. He had
never seen his mother from the time he was litle and she moved away.
Researchers have never been able to find Matthew & Mary in Iowa but because of
pronunciation think maybe it was Ohio instead. Or they just moved on.
(From newspaper accounts now it shows Matthew returned to Lemon & 1850 census
says children were born in Pa.)Orville William S. Bloomfield married Polly Tiffany. Had daughter Emeline
Bloomfield who married John VanKirk R(a)ymond son of Abraham & Elizabeth
