Don: Thanks for the wealth of information on the Wiltsies. I'll need to study it to digest everything. Wilhemus Wilsey (b 1732 ) died in Hemmingford, Quebec according to his daughter Rebecca Wilsey Manning. She testified for her sister, Eleanor Wilsey McAllister, in 1837 , to vouch for her status as a Revolutionary War Widow in appying for a pension. Eleanor was having trouble providing the documentation that she was indeed married to William McAllister. Rebecca was describing a sole remaining leaf of a family bible with the birthdates of all of William Wilsey's children. She described that she received this leaf from her father when he spent his last days with her in Hemmingford ( no date given! ). The photocopy of this leaf from the National Archives Rev. War Pension files is unreadable but a legal transcript made in 1837 is included in William and Eleanor's file. The Manning and Odell families also testified on her behalf, as all three families moved from Dutchess Co. and moved to Odelltown. They testified thay William Wilsey's farm, at the time of William McAllister and Eleanor's wedding, was at the hamlet of Barnegat in Dutchess Co. ( south of Poughkeepsie). I'll study your info more.
