ANDREW D. WILSEY Andrew D. Wilsey, of Laceyville, formerly of RD 5, Tunkhannock, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 1987. The son of the late Charles and Mary Moyer Wilsey, he was employed as a dairy farmer and laborer until his retirement. His wife, the former Mabel Cook, died Nov. 24, 1983. Surviving are brothers-in-law, Stanley Cook, Dallas, and Waldo Cook, Noxen; sisters-in-law, Ida Race, Dallas, and Emma Wilsey, Athens; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Sheldon Funeral Home, 73 West Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with the Rev. Donald Baker officiating. Interment, Orcutt Cemetery, Noxen.

Mabel Louella Cook [Parents] was born on 4 Jun 1905 in Monroe Township, Wyoming County, , Pennsylvania. She died on 24 Nov 1983 in Towanda, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. MABEL WILSEY Mabel L Wilsey of RD 5,, Tunkhannock, died Thursday morning Nov. 24, in the Towanda Skilled Care Center, Towanda; Born in Monroe’ ‘Town­ship June 4, 1905, she was a. daughter ‘of the late James and Rose Derby Cook.’ She was a member of the ‘Vernon Community Baptist Church. She and her husband, Andrew D., celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on July 31. Surviving,’ in addition to her husband, are brothers, Stanley and Waldo, Tunkhannock; two sisters, Mildred Cross, Tunkhannock and Ida Race, Dallas. Funeral and committal services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 73 West Tioga Street, Tunkhannock, with the Rev. Merle Welliver of the Vernon Community Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was in Orcutt Cemetery, Noxen.

Stephen WILSEY, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Milo DIXON, at East Lemon on Jan. 22nd, aged 79-11-15. Cause was paralysis. Funeral from Dixon School house on Thursday, interment in Jackson Cemetery, near LaGrange.

Jane L. Klinko, 65

Jane L. Klinko, 65, of Waverly, passed away Jan. 19, 2005 peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones. Born Nov. 2, 1940 in Waverly, she was the daughter of the late Orville and Helen Beardslee Eddy.

Jane was a graduate of Waverly High School, Waverly. She also graduated from Lock Haven College in 1962. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Waverly. Jane was employed in the Athens Area Schools as a Substitute Teacher for many years. Her great joys in life were golf, traveling, bowling, books, and the great outdoors. She was also named Volunteer of the Year for the Waverly Free Library. Jane was a 13x Woman's Club Champion at the Tioga Country Club in Nichols and also had 2 holes in one throughout her golfing history. She was a tireless worker for her church. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and friend and will be dearly missed by all.

She is survived by: her husband, Duane "Corky" of 42 years at home; sons, Neil and Joel Klinko of Waverly; sisters, Julia and Leo Martine of Sayre, Nina and Paul Eerson of Calabash, N.C., and Joan and Ken Holmes, Augusta, Ga.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Park Avenue, Waverly. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Lourdes Hospice. The only mention, as you said, of Elizabeth (Cooke) was her marriage to John Lawrence as printed on page 454 in "New England Marriages prior to 1700" by Clarence Almon Torrey.
"Lawrence, John (-1667) & 1st wife Elizabeth (Cooke) (-1663, Groton); b. 1635;
Watertown, Groton" And even he has her last name in parenthesis for he was not sure that was correct. The only way to find out why he said that would be to go to the New England Historic Genealogical Society in Boston, where his original notes are kept.
