David CRIDER

David Crider entered 150 acres of land attached to his own 50 acre entry July 30, 1831, in Weakley County, TN. This land bordered the property of Mr. Ross in District #12 which was located in the Southeast corner of the county on the Carroll County line.
David appears in the 1830 Tennessee census in Weakley county as head of household with one female 16-30 years of age (his wife) and one female child under five. In 1834 his son, James A., was born in Gibson County, Tennessee. On Feb. 28, 1835, David was Bondsman for his brother Samuel's marriage to Mary Yates, also in Gibson County. In 1836 his daughter Lee Anna was born.
By 1838 David was in Kentucky as evidenced by a suit against his father's estate. Among the list of heirs, David is listed as being a citizen "of the State of Kentucky." By the 1840 census he was living in Calloway County, Kentucky.
The 1850 census, also in Calloway County, lists David's occupation as a blacksmith while son James is listed as a farmer.
By 1860 David had moved again to Graves County, Kentucky. In the 1874 tax list he owned 160 acres in Graves County and 60 acres in nearby Calloway County. He Disappears from the records after 1875.
David married Sarah SHULTS. (Sarah SHULTS was born in 1811 in KY. 2.)
