   General Notes:

Josiah was a farmer and an extensive dealer in livestock and produce. He had a general store at South Fulton, Tennessee. On December 25, 1863 he enlisted in the Army of the Confederate States of America. He served in Faulkner’s Regiment of the 12th Kentucky Cavalry, Co. C. as a private. He was Wounded At the Battle Of Harrisburg, MS. in 1864. Josiah died October 24, 1889 in Graves County, Kentucky. He is buried in Boaz Chapel Cemetery in Graves County, Kentucky.

Josiah married Amanda Pathena CANNON, daughter of Issac CANNON and Elizabeth A. GRAY, on 20 Dec 1854 in Weakley Co., TN..1 2 (Amanda Pathena CANNON was born on 28 Mar 1837, died on 28 Nov 1903 and was buried in Boaz Chapel Cemetery, Hickman Co., KY..)
