   General Notes:

On September 12, 1861 at Columbus, Kentucky he enlisted in the Army of the Confederate states of America as a private in Co. A, 7th Kentucky Inf. Regt. He was wounded at the Battle of Shiloh on April 6, 1862.

Levi married Mary Frances SCOFIELD, daughter of William C. SCOFIELD and Mary A. MOTT, on 4 May 1858 in Graves Co., KY..1 2 (Mary Frances SCOFIELD was born on 6 Nov 1835, died on 13 Apr 1894 and was buried in Scofield-Williams Cemetery, Graves Co., KY. 4.)
