This genealogy shows the ancestry of my husband Christopher and owes much to work done on our family history by his cousin Tim. The Wilcocks were market gardeners owning cabbage fields near Wakefield and bringing their produce to market there. My father in law remembered catching and harnessing the horse before school each day. But his mother Ada Mary Monaghan had a more exotic background. The Ellis family originated in Wales and she was born in India while her Irish father was serving in the army there.
