THIRD GENERATION

10. Benjamin Franklin WEIDRICK was born on 8 Oct 1846 in Haldimand Township, Ontario. He died on 2 Feb 1938 in Hamilton, Ont.. Ben and Almira lived for many years in Rockford, Michigan where most or all of their children were born. Some time later they moved to Canada. When Ben retired from the shoemaker business, they moved to Buffalo, New York and lived with their daughter Carrie. When Almira died Ben spent his remaining years with his other daughter Maude in Hagersville, Ontario. The Springvale Methodist Church anniversary book lists Mr. & Mrs. Ben Weidrick as members when it was organized in 1873.

He was married to Almira Flora SCOVILLE (daughter of Marenus SCOVILLE and Chloe S CASTLE) on 1 Jan 1869 in Rockford Michigan. Almira Flora SCOVILLE ⁽²⁾⁽³⁾ was born on 2 Nov 1846 in Camden NY. She died on 23 Jun 1928 in Buffalo NY. She was buried in Rainham Center, Ont. Canada. Almira's birth must have been quite a surprise to her family. She was one of two surviving triplets, the other being Ahira. She weighed very little at birth and it is said she was placed in a small box and placed next to the stove. The ring at the top of an old fashioned pocket watch would go over her thumb. Benjamin Franklin WEIDRICK and Almira Flora SCOVILLE had the following children:
