Julius Franz Barth born May 24,1854 in Achern Baden Germany, where his family owned a shoe factory, his parents were Friedrich Barth and Therese Susch. He immigrated from Germany with his brother Carl. They sailed from Havre, France to London, England and then to Castle Gardens in New York City on the Cella, they arrived February 21,1870. Julius and Carl were separated at the docks and never saw each other again. He traveled to Centreville Station Illinois (St. Clair County) and worked as a farm laborer. He married Elizabeth Margaret Gindler November 09,1884 in Troy, Illinois (Madison County). They had 11 children 8 of which survived. He became a United States citizen on February 04,1890. He died March 30,1930 in Collinsville, Illinois of Liver Cancer and ASHD at the age of 59.
Elizabeth Margaret Gindler was born September 04,1864 in Troy, Illinois (madison county). Her parents were Thomas Charles Gindler and Margaret(ha) Engelhardt. She died September 02, 1930 in Collinsville,Illinois (Madison County), of Myocarditis. She had 11 children ( one set of twins) 8 survived.
