Montgomery Standard, Montgomery County, Missouri, 10 August 1950 Mrs. Sadie Bishop Dies In Hospital. Mrs. Sadie Imogene Bishop, the first child of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Paullus (Florence Wilson), was born October 23, 1903, at Greenville, Missouri, and died July 26, 1950, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St Louis following a lingering illness. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. I.R. Davis at the First Baptist Chruch, of Montgomery City, at 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 28th, with burial in the Montgomery City Cemetery - Schlanker Service. She was an active member of the Cape Girardeau, First Baptist Church, and later moved her membership to the Winstanley Baptist Church of East St Louis, Illinois. Her early youth was spent in Greenville where she attended Public Schools. She graduated from the Cape Girardeau High School with honors, and later attended the Southeast Missouri Teacher's College, graduating with a B.S. degree in Education. She attended the University of Colorado and Missouri University where she received her M.A. degree. She taught in the Cape Girardeau Public Schools for five years, and in the Hancock High School, of St Louis, for twenty years. She is survived by her husband, W.G. Bishop; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Paullus; sisters: Mrs. Bernice Waggoner, of New Florence; and Mrs. Marie Asling, of Arlington, Virginia; brothers: Harold Paullus, of Rochelle, Illinois; and Woodrow Paullus, of Montgomery City; and a host of relatives and friends.
