	Leona Jane Matthews.  Leona Jane Matthews, 66, of Moberly died this 
morning at 1:10 in Moberly Regional Medical Center.
	Born March 16, 1931, at Mexico, she was a manager of several 
restaurants in the area.  Mrs. Matthews moved to Moberly three years ago 
from Kerington, KS.  Two sons, one daughter, three brothers and three 
sisters preceded her in death.
	Surbibing are her husband, Ben, whom she married May 6, 1965, at 
Junction City, KS;  three sons:  Richard Vorhees, Grand Rapids, MI;  Steve 
and Randy Vorhees both of Moberly;  daughter, Pam Scott, Abeliene, KS;  two 
sisters, Mary Bales, St. Peters, and Sue Edler, St Charles;  19 
grandchildren;  16 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
	A memorial service will be held at First Church of God in Moberly at 
4 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Ron Bissey officiating.  At her request she was 
cremated.  Million-Taylor-Patton Funeral Home, Moberly, is in charge of 
arrangements.
