Beverly A Bishop - Prominent Citizen of Shamrock Township Passed Away

Beverly A. Bishop, aged 61, who lived east of Shamrock, died at Wellsville last 
week and the remains were buried at Liberty church in Shamrock township on 
Thursday of last week.
	Deceased was born and raised in Montgomery county, just over the line
from Callaway.  His father was one of the Virginians who came to this section 
and became one of the pioneers of Missouri.  He was killed by Federal soldiers 
in 1861.  Beverly Bishop when he grew up settled in Callaway county on a part 
of his father's old homestead, a part of which laid in Montgomery and part in 
Callaway.  He was one of the leading citizens of this neighborhood and a man
of great influence in the community.
	Sometime ago he was taken to St Louis for an operation.  Not doing well 
later, he went to Mexico and was in the hospital there for some days, but it
was decided a second operation could do no good and he was anxious to return 
home.  He was taken by rail to Wellsville, but was unable to continue the 
journey overland to his farm and died there a day or two later.
	He is survived by his wife and three sons, two of whom, Bert and Lon,
are grown and married, the third being a boy of 15 years.

	Death of B. A. Bishop, Montgomery Standard - 18 Dec 1914, Friday	

	Berry Allen Bishop was born March 4, 1852 and died Dec 8, 1914, aged
62 years 9 months and 4 days.  He was a son of Granville and Mary Bishop.
	April 27, 1876 Mr Bishop was married to Miss Janie Coil of Callaway
County.  To this union four children were born:  three of whom are still living,
namely:  Bently Edward, Alonso Solomon and Bently Granville.  Besides a wife
and three sons, he leaves an aged mother, three brothers and two half sisters.
His is interred in Liberty Cemetery.
