Wellsville Optic News, Montgomery County, Wellsville, Missouri, 7 September 1983 Former Pearl Bishop Funeral Was Sunday. Mrs. Delmont Lichtenberg, 62, of Marthasville, the former Pearl Bishop of Montgomery City, died Thursday, September 1, 1983, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis. She was a niece of Howell Bishop of Wellsville. Funeral services were held on Sunday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Marthasville. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery near Wellsville. Mrs. Lichtenberg was born May 15, 1921, in Montgomery City, a daughter of Addison and Susie Pemberton Bishop. She was married September 5, 1943, in New Florence to Delmont Lichtenberg. He survives as do their daughter, Kathryn (Mrs. Gerald) Branson, and her two children, [Jeromy Walter Delmont Branson] and Battina Branson, all of Marthasville. Mr. and Mrs. Lichtenberg owned and operated the Lichtenberg Funeral Home in Marthasville for many years. She was a former school teacher.

Survivors include an uncle, Howell Bishop of Wellsville. Mrs. Lichtenberg, a native of Montgomery City, was born May 15, 1921, the only daughter of Addison and Susie Pemberton Bishop. She was a former school teacher. She and Mr. Lichtenberg have operated the Lichtenberg Funeral Home for several years. Among survivors are her husband of the home, to whom she was married on Sept. 5, 1943 in New Florence; a daughter, Mrs. (Gerald) Kathryn Branson, and two grandchildren, [Jeromy Walter Delmont Branson] and Bettina Branson, all of Marthasville. A half sister, Alice B Tomak, preceded her in death. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Marthasville. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today and Saturday at the Lichtenberg Funeral home, in Marthasville. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Montgomery County. The family asks that memorials be made to the cemetery or Shriners Children's Hospital, St. Louis.
