OBITUARY OF BESSIE BISHOP BEST, (name of newspaper not noted, handwritten date of 1964)

WELLSVILLE - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Myers 
funeral home for Mrs. Bessie Clara Best who died yesterday at the Mountain 
View Convalescent Home in Festus.  Burial will be in the Montgomery City 
cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. tomorrow.
  Mrs. Best was born Sept. 14, 1878 in Montgomery County, the daughter of 
Mr. and Mrs. John A. Bishop.  She was a member of the Wellsville Methodist 
Church.
  Her husband, Isaac Best, died in July, 1960.
  She is survived by one son, John Best of Arnold, five half sisters, Mrs. 
Ollie Walker, Mrs. David Burgess, and Mrs. Ruth Arnall of Wellsville, Mrs. 
Anna Mae Jetty and Mrs. Frances Carrigan of the state of Texas, four 
granddaughters and one great grandson.
  She was preceded in death by an infant daughter and four brothers, Cal 
Bishop, Paul Bishop, Glenwood Bishop, and Ross Bishop.
