	Funeral Services For Orin O. Bishop, 84 On Thursday.  Death came 
near noon on Tuesday to end the long illness of Mr. O. O. Bishop, well-known 
Wellsville man, and a life long resident of Montgomery County.  He had been 
bedfast for some time and had been cared for in the home of Mr. and Mrs. 
William Tallmadge.  Funeral services were conducted at two o'clock Thursday 
afternoon at the Bethel Methodist church conducted by Rev. J. C. McDaniel.  
Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery, beside his late wife whose death occurred 
in 1944.
	Orin Bishop was born on August 10, 1866, in Montgomery County, the 
son of the late David and Harriet McCormack Bishop.  He spent many years 
farming in the Bethel community.  In 1910 he and Mrs. Bishop moved to 
Wellsville where he has since resided.  Mr. Bishop's death followed exactly 
a week, almost to the very hour of his neighbor and friend, A. B. Carpenter, 
whose death also followed an extended illness.
	The following obituary was prepared for reading at the funeral:  
Orrin O. Bishop, son of the late Dave and Harriet Bishop, was born in 
Montgomery County on Auguest 10, 1866 and passed away on October 3, 1950, at 
the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Tallmadge after an extended illness.
	He was united in marriage in 1898 to Miss Alpharetta Hancock, who 
preceded him in death six years ago in 1944.
	Mr. Bishop united with the Bethel Methodist church, near Wellsville 
and was active in the church as long as his health permitted.  He was a 
member in good standing of the I. O. O. F. lodge No. 359 of Wellsville.
	He is survived by a great niece, Mrs. Pauline Scrogin of Vandalia 
and a great nephew, Dewitt Tallmadge of Kansas City.

	Mrs. O. O. Bishop Died From Fall Injuries.  Mrs. O. O. Bishop, who 
on Wednesday of last week fell at her home on West Locust Street and 
fractured a hip, died Saturday at the Audrain Hospital in Mexico.  She was 
73 years old.
	Alpharetta Hancock Bishop, daughter of Nancy Ann and T. F. Hancock 
was born in Warren County, June 2, 1871, and died December 16, 1944.
	On February 23, 1898, she was united in marriage to O. O. Bishop and 
they lived their entire married life in the Bethel community and in 
Wellsville.
	Mrs. Bishop professed her faith in Christ and united with the 
Methodist Church in 1892.  She was a faithful attendant as long as her 
health permitted.
	For the past several years she had been in failing health and was an 
invalid in recent years.
	Survivors are her husband, O. O. Bishop, an aunt, Mrs. B. A. Brown 
of near Wellsville, an uncle H. H. Hill of New Truxton, Mo., two nieces and 
a nephew, W. Dewitt Tallmadge now serving in the U. S. Navy.
	Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at 
the Bethel Methodist Church by Rev. J. C. McDaniels.  Burial was in the 
adjoining cemetery.
