Fulton Gazette, Fulton, Callaway, Missouri, 20 June 1935 Auxvasse Farmer Died On Tuesday James Sloane Woodson Had Lived in Callaway County Nearly All His Life. James Sloane Woodson, 86 years old, died Tuesday night about 10:30 o'clock at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John D. Judy, northeast of Auxvasse. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. A.F. Larson, of Fulton, at Augusta Presbyterian Church, southwest of Shamrock at 11:00 o'clock on Thursday morning. The Masons will have charge of the service at the grave. Mr. Woodson was a long time member of the Masonic lodge at Shamrock. Mr. Woodson was born in Palmyra, Marion county, March 28, 1849, but had been a resident of northeast Callaway county the greater part of his life. His wife, Harriet Woodson, died a number of years ago, but he is survived by the following sons and daughters: W.A. Woodson, and D.R. Woodson, Bachelor; Louis, Shamrock; John Woodson, California; Mrs. J.D. Judy, Auxvasse; Mrs. Harp Dudley, California, and Mrs. E.R. Meador, Mexico.
