Montgomery Standard, Montgomery City, Montgomery County, MO, 30 October 1903 [Wellsville] Mrs. Blackshaw, who has been in poor health for some time, died at her home, six miles south of town, on Monday night, aged 80 years. Deceased had lived in that community for many years, being one of the early settlers there. She was the mother of Mrs. Will Elliott of West Prairie, Mrs. G. W. Shadwell of Wellsville, Joseph Blackshaw who lived with her, and a son and daughter living in St. Charles. The remains were buried Wednesday in the old cemetery here, beside those of her husband, which were laid to rest there some thirty-three years ago.
