Wellsville Optic News, Montgomery County, Wellsville, Missouri, 1 February 1984 Charles Bishop, 88, Died Sunday In Fulton. Funeral services for Charles (Charlie) Bishop of Fulton, former sheriff of Callaway County, were scheduled for Wednesday (this) morning. The 11:00 o'clock service was at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Burial was in the Fulton Cemetery. Mr. Bishop was a brother to the late Claude Bishop of Wellsville and was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Ethel Bishop of Wellsville. Mr. Bishop's death followed an extended illness and occurred at the Heritage Nursing Home in Fulton. Survivors include his widow, one son Billy, and one granddaughter, Tana. There are also two sisters, Miss Nattie Bishop and Mrs. Thelma Johnson of the Bishop home in Fulton. Mrs. Ethel Bishop of Wellsville accompanied her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Bishop of Troy to Fulton Sunday to be with members of the family and on Wednesday to attend the funeral. Charlie Bishop was a long time member of the Christian Church.

Fulton Sun, Callaway County, Fulton, Missouri, 31 January 1987 Ida Elizabeth Bishop, Mrs. Ida E. Bishop, 88, of Fulton died Thursday, Jan 29, 1987, at the Fulton Manor. She was born Oct. 14, 1898, at Auxvasse, Mo., a daughter of the late William B. and Mary (Fatke) Meyer. On Sept. 19, 1923, she was married to Charles J. Bishop at the Auxvasse Christian Church. Her husband preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 1984. Mrs. Bishop is survived by one son, William "Bill" Bishop and a daughter-in-law Joan Bishop of Fulton; a granddaughter Tanna Louise Bishop; a half-sister, Evelyn Meyer of Houston, Texas; and a niece, Mrs. Dale Kinney of Austin, Texas. In addition, she is survived by two sister-in-laws, Thelma Johnson of Fulton and Ethel Bishop of Auxvasse, Mo. Mrs. Bishop was a member of the First Christian Church and had been secretary of the Church for many years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary, the Fulton Garden Club, and the Womens Democratic Club of Callaway County. She had served as registar for Callaway County for a number of years. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Feb 1, at 3 p.m. at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with the Rev. Raymond McCallister Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Callaway Memorial Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Saturday.
