Funeral services for Thomas Neal Bishop, 74, of New Florence were held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock at Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City. Bishop's death occurred Wednesday at Gamms Road Lodge in Wellsville. Neal Bishop, son of Thomas Jefferson and Laura Taylor Bishop, was born in Martinsburg on June 30, 1907. He was married on August 2, 1930, to Zenia Leona Dixon. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Harold Bishop of Bonne Terre, and two daughters, Mrs. Rosie Thurman of New Florence and Mrs. Helen Petras of Bellflower. There are also four surviving sisters: Mrs. Naomi Trowbridge of St Louis, Mrs. Ruth Cunningham of Montgomery City and Mrs. Flossie Kobush and Mrs. Elizabeth Hastings of Shelbina, Mo. Mr. Bishop, a farmer, was an active member of the New Florence Holiness Church.
