Wellsville Optic News, Montgomery County, Wellsville, Missouri, 25 March 1971 Rites Held On Saturday For B.G. (Jack) Bishop. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, Mar. 20, at 2:00 o'clock at the Liberty Christian Church, south of Martinsburg for B.G. (Jack) Bishop, 69, of Wellsville. Rev. John Blass officiated at the service with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Asked to serve as pallbearers were Harold Wilson, Nelson Davis, Harry Cheeseman, Harry Blum, Dennis Scholl and Homer Coil. Myers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Bishop became ill early last Wednesday morning at his home. He was taken to the Audrain Medical Center in Mexico where his death ocurred. Beverly G. Bishop was born on Oct 4, 1901, in Callaway County, a son of Beverly A. and Janie Coil Bishop. He was married to Miss Mary Wilkerson, who survives. Other survivors include a brother, Bert Bishop of Fulton, and a sister-in-law, Mrs Lon (Leta) Bishop of Martinsburg, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Bishop was a retired farmer.
