Mexico Ledger, Audrain County, Mexico, Missouri, 30 October 1971 J. Forrest Brown Dies; Rites Sunday. J. Forest Brown, 67, of Route 1, Mexico, died at 12:55 p.m. Friday at the Audrain Medical Center. He had been ill for some time. Mr. Brown was a dairy and stock farmer. He was born July 29, 1904, in Callaway County, a son of March and Rose Fletcher Brown. He was married to Nettie Marie Wyss on Dec. 24, 1938, in Mexico. She survives at their home. Mr. Brown was a member of the Kentucky Road Christian Church. He is also survived by two brothers, Luther of Miami, Fla., and Phillip of Atlanta, Mo.; and a sister, Mrs. J.D. (Mary Frances) Mitchell of Rose Mead, Calif. Mr Brown was preceded in death nearly three weeks ago by his brother John of Mexico, who died Oct. 10. A son, William Forest Brown, died April 25, 1968. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Arnold Funeral Home with Don Wortman of the Kentucky Road Christian Church officiating at the service with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Mrs. Nettie Marie Brown were held today at 1:30 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home with David Leslie officiating. Burial was at Elmwood Cemetery with the following serving as pall bearers: James William and James Wray Bradley, Kenneth and Tim Power, Larry H. Healy and Jon C. Brown.

Mexico Evening Ledger, Audrain County, Mexico, Missouri, 16 November 1985 Auto Crash Is Fatal To W.F. Brown. William Forrest Brown, 25, who had been residing in St Louis for about two years, died of injuries received in an auto accident early this morning in St. Louis. Details of the accident are not known here. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Arnold funeral home, conducted by Don Wortman, pastor of Kentucky Road Christian Church. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Son of J. Forrest and Nettie Marie Wyss Brown, Mr. Brown was born in Mexico on May 15, 1942. He was graduated from Mexico High School and Rankin Trade School in St. Louis. After two years in the US Army, including one year in Vietnam, he was employed as a tool and die maker in St. Louis. He was a member of the Mexico Methodist Church. Survivors include his parents of Mexico, Route 1, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Nettie B. Wyss of 917 S. Carrico St. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday evening.
