Macon Republican, Macon County, Macon, Missouri, 15 February 1913 [Abstract:] Mrs. Catherine Lyle, 68, died at her home east of Excello, Mo. 11 February 1913. She was the widow of R. P. Lyle who died 20 May 1902. Their marriage ocurred 26 November 1863. To this union eight children were born, four sons and four daughters, two of whom died in infancy, six survivors are: Mrs. [Sink] Bishop, John Lyle, Jude Lyle, Mrs. Charley Cole all of Mexico, Mo., Mrs. Eddie Waller of Warr City, Kansas, and Emelia Lyle who died 19 November 1877 and Thomas W. Lyle of Guion, Ark., two sisters and six brothers, Mrs. Sally Lyle of Fayette, Mrs. Margaret Lyle of Boone county, William, Thomas, George, Daniel and [Leet] all of Macon county, also Richard Lyle of Kansas. She was a member of the Friendship church where the funeral was held.
