Montgomery Standard, Montgomery County, Montgomery City, Missouri, 19 November 1970 Services for H. Samuel Bishop at Jonesburg. Harry Samuel Bishop, Jr. age 30, of Jonesburg died Saturday morning, November 14 at the Audrain Hospital in Mexico where he had been a patient for a few days. He had been in failing health since April. His death was attributed to a health condition. Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the St Paul Lutheran Church in Jonesburg with Rev. John Dautenbahn in charge. Burial was in the Montgomery City Cemetery. Mr. Bishop was born in St Charles, Mo. on July 30, 1940, eldest of three sons of Harry and Mary Bell (Groby) Bishop who survive. He was married on October 16, 1965 to Miss Carroll Freie of Middletown who survives at the home near Jonesburg. Also surviving are his two small daughters, Karla Kay, 2 1/2 years and Kimberly Sue, seven months, two brothers, Charles Bishop of High Hill and David Bishop of Travis Air Force Base, Calif., also three nieces, two nephews and other relatives. As a child he was a member of the Baptist church in Jonesburg. Then in July 1966 he joined the Trinity Lutheran Church near Wellsville. He was also a member of the Jonesburg Lions Club where he was serving as treasurer. Mr. Bishop attended Hickory Wood grade school and graduated from the Montgomery High School in 1958 and was engaged in farming with his father.
