Fulton Daily Sun-Gazette, Fulton, Callaway, Missouri, 20 November 1957 Mrs. Peterson, 71, Dies In Hannibal After Long Illness. Mrs. Mary Woodson Peterson of Hannibal died this morning about 7 a.m. She had been ill three weeks. Funeral services and burial will be held at the Liberty Christian Church but other arrangements were not available. Born in Callaway County on February 24, 1886, Mrs. Peterson was the daughter of Tyre and Nannie Bishop. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Nannie Hoffman of Pacific, Mo., Mrs. Matline Martin of Decatur, Ill., Mrs. Mary Frances Kenndy of Hannibal and Mrs. John Payton of Fulton; and one son, Otis Woodson of Hannibal. Three sisters and one brother preceded her in death.

The body was removed to the Smith Funeral Home pending arrangements for services. Mrs. Peterson is survived by one son, Otis Woodson of Hannibal; four daughters, Mrs. J.D. (Mary) Kennedy of Hannibal, Mrs. John Peyton of Fulton, Mrs Madeline Martin of Decatur [IL] and Mrs. Nannie Hoffman of Pacific, Mo., and other relatives.

Mrs. Mary Etta Peterson, whose address was given as Louisiana, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday in Levering Hospital, Hannibal. The Smith Funeral Home there is making arrangements for the services. Pacific Maramec Valley Transcript, Pacific, Franklin, Missouri, 30 April 1975 Nannie Hoffman. Nancy E Hoffman, nee Woodson was born May 2, 1906 and died April 25. Nancy, wife of Irwin Hoffman, is also survived by five children; Charles Harbit of Valley Park, Carolyn Hall of Pacific, Gerald Dowell of California, Donald Dowell of Mississippi, Larry Dowell of Louisianna; two step-sons, Eugene and Dale Hoffman of Pacific. Mrs. Hoffman is also survived by three sisters and one brother; Virginia Payton of Fulton, Mateline Helfrick of Illinois, Mary Kennedy of Hannibal and Otis Woodson of Illinois; twenty three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 29, at 2:30 p.m. in the Bell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Pacific with the Rev. Thomas Shellinghout officiating. Pallbearers were Jimmy Harbit, Gregory Hall, Steve Hoffman, Clay Hoffman, Paul Helfrick and Raymond Easley.
