Hannibal Courier-Post, Hannibal, Marion, Missouri, 25 September 1967 Everett Perkins Dies Suddenly, Rites Pending Everett E. Perkins, 75, of 1020 Church Street, passed away suddenly at 7:30 a.m. today on arrival at Illini Hospital in Pittsfield, Ill. He had been visiting his daughter, Mrs. William (Ethlyn) Moore. Mr. Perkins was born April 7, 1892, in Macon, a son of the late John C. and Sarah Hyatt Perkins. He was first married to Mattie Bishop who preceded him in death in 1916 [1918]. He was married to Blanche Violet Moore June 30, 1919 at Hannibal. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Blanche Harper of Hannibal and Mrs. Moore of Pittsfield; one son, Capt. Glenn Perkins of the Griffiss Air Force Base, N.Y.; two half-sisters, Mrs. Alma Patrick of Moberly and Mrs. Louetta Morris of Colorado; ten grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by one son, George Everett Perkins in 1925; three brothers and two sisters. Mr. Perkins was formerly a car repairman of the CB&Q Railroad and retired shoeworker after 35 years of service with the International Shoe Company, retiring in 1936. He was a member of the Lindell Avenue Christian Church. Funeral services are pending at the Schwartz Funeral Home.

Audrain County Oracle, Martinsburg, Audrain, Missouri, 24 Oct 1918 Mrs. Mattie Bishop Perkins died at her home in Kansas City last Monday of influenza. The body was brought to Martinsburg for burial. Mrs. Perkins was the daughter of Tyra [Jr] Bishop and lived near Martinsburg for many years.
