Imogene Coleman, daughter of Eliud A. and Willie Hudson Bishop was born in Montgomery County on January 1, 1907, and was summoned to her heavenly home on Sunday March 8, 1987 at the age of 80 years, 2 months and 8 days. She united in marriage to Harry M. Coleman, on December 12, 1928 and they spent the 58 years of their married life at the home on Massa Creek Road, South of Jonesburg. She is survived by her husband, Harry, a daughter Ruby Owings of Cuba, Mo., a son Donald of Springfield, Mo., one son-in-law, one daughter-in-law, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, a brother, Samuel Bishop of Mineola, many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and 3 brothers. In the 1930's she was converted and was a faithful member of the New Florence Church until her death. Funeral services were held on March 11, 1987, at 2 p.m. at the Harding Funeral Home in Jonesburg, with the Rev. Richard Raber and Rev. Melvin Kirks officiating, with interment in the Jonesburg Cemetery.
