Aged Colored Man Dies in Jonesburg.  Shap Bishop, son of Pitman and Hannah
Bishop was born in Warren County, Missouri, April 25, 1873, and died in Jonesburg,
Missouri, on January 5, 1949.
	He was joined in wedlock to Miss Minnie Otie of Price's Branch on
October 2, 1902.  To this union was born on child - namely Doris Bishop of
St. Louis.  He leaves to mourn his loss one sister, Mrs Helen Woolrich of
Jonesburg, two nieces, Maggie Ricks and Irene Johnson of Jonesburg, two
nephews, Rev. A.W. Ricks, D.D. of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Rev. William
Hoston of Princeton, Indiana; and a host of friends and relatives.
	Shap was well liked and highly respected by the people of Jonesburg
and Montgomery County and his loss will be keenly felt by all.
	Rev. Owens of Truesdale conducted services at the Harding Mortuary
Friday afternoon.  Interment followed in Jonesburg cemetery.
