Montgomery Standard, Montgomery County, Missouri, 2 January 1920, Friday Death of Mrs. B.F. Bishop -- Mrs Lizzie Bishop, wife of Ben Bishop, died last Friday morning at 9 o'clock, after a lingering illness, aged about 50 years. Besides her husband she leaves one son, John Bishop of Montgomery City, and four daughters, Mrs Charles Twelback, Mrs Chas. Mashmeyer, Mrs. Hugh Jeans and Miss Frances all of St Louis. The funeral took place from the home Sunday morning at 10 o'clock conducted by Rev R.E. McQuie, and the remains were buried in the city cemetery. Miss Mary Elizabeth Havener was born April 18, 1872, in Lincoln county, Mo. February 26, 1890, she was married to Mr. Benjamin F Bishop. For something over a year she was ill, during which time she was a great sufferer but meekly bore her afflictions and when the end came she sweetly fell asleep. She leaves a husband, five children, five grandchildren, a dear mother, one sister, two brothers and many dear friends who will sadly miss her in the walks of life. ---- Among those from a distance who were here to attend the funeral of Mrs Ben Bishop Sunday were the following: Mr and Mrs Oscar Bishop, Lank Bishop, Fred Bishop, Mr and Mrs Chas Twellback, Mr and Mrs Chas. Mashmeyer, Dr and Mrs Hugh Jeans, St Louis; and J.R. Bishop and Mrs Rufus Bishop and son Edgar of St Charles. --- In the Probate Court of Montgomery County...
