OBITUARY OF CHARLES EDWARD CLEMENT, WELLSVILLE (handwritten date of 1958) Charles Edwar Clement, 87, died at 1:30 a.m. today at the home of a son Calvin Clement, in Wellsville, after an illness of six months. Part of that time he had been a patient at the Audrain Hospital in Mexico. Funeral serviced will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Wells Funeral Home. The IOOF will conduct a memorial service. Burial will be in the Wellsville cemetery. Mr. Clement was a farmer until his retirment. He was a member of the Methodist Church and IOOF. He was born in Montgomery County on Jan. 13, 1871, the son of Joseph J. and Mary Ann Stears Clement. On April 15, 1896, he was married to Miss Ellen Minter who died Nov. 25, 1950. Survivors include four sons and three daughters: Calvin Clement, Harris Clement, Joseph W. Clement and Mrs. K. B. (Ruth) Wells all of Wellsville; Charles Clement and Mrs. H. A. (Frances) Skinner of Mexico and Mrs. Maynard (Dorothy) Kropp of Wichita, Kans. Three sons, Beverly, Roy Paul and Champ Clark, preceded him in death. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Schambach of Clarksville and Mrs. Amelia Brower of Laddonia; and six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. One brother, two sisters, 13 half-brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
