Bert Bishop Dies; Rites To Be Tuesday - Mexico Evening Ledger Bert Bishop, 93, the father of two Mexicoans, Mrs. Viola Keele and Mrs. A.W. Brashear, died at 6:05 p.m. Saturday at the Phillips Home, where he had been a resident since October 1972. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Liberty Christian Church, south of Martinsburg, of which he was a member, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. John Blass and the Rev. Sam Baniqued will officiate. Born May 20, 1880, in Montgomery County, Mr. Bishop was the son of B.A. and Eliza Jane Coil Bishop. On Dec. 24, 1899, he was married to Daisy Lee Hendricks, who died in 1937. Mr. Bishop had lived in Fulton for the past 20 years and was a retired farmer. Survivors are a son, John T. Bishop, of Martinsburg and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary Bishop of Wellsville. Seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren also survive. The family will receive friends after 2 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral home.

Mrs. Bert Bishop of Moline Dies - Mexico Evening Ledger Mrs. Daisy Bishop, well known Audrain Co. resident, 54, passed away Sunday at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, after an illness at Fulton. Mrs. Bishop was the wife of Bert Bishop of Moline. She leaves behind her husband, two daughters and one son, Mrs. Viola Keele and Miss Alberta Bishop of this city and Mr. John T Bishop of Montgomery City, 3 grandchildren, Claude Keele, this city, and Shirley Dean Bishop and Donald Ray Bishop of Montgomery City besides a sister and her aged mother-in-law, Mrs. James Bishop. Funeral and burial will be at Liberty Church, Callaway Co., Tues. at 2 pm. The Ledger joins family friends in extending sincere sympathy to the bereaved family at Mrs. Bishop's death.
