Shamrock, Missouri, 18 Jan 1914
Montgomery City Montgomery Standard, Montgomery County, Missouri, 30 June 1914 Death of Mrs. Solomon Coil. Miss Permelia Renfoe was born in Boone county, January 20, 1827 and died at her home 3 miles east of Shamrock, Mo., after several weeks of suffering, January 18th, 1914, aged 86 years, 11 months and 28 days. She was of a family of three children, and a daughter of the late Mark and Nancy Renfoe. February 19th, 1852, Miss Renfoe was married to Solomon Coil of Callaway county, with whom she lived happily until her death. To this union were born eight children, three boys and five girls. Two daughters preceded their mother to the land beyond. Besides her husband and six children, she leaves thirty-four grand children; and 20 great-grand children, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her death. She united with the Christian church in 1844, and continued a faithful member until death. Deceased was a loving wife, a kind and tender mother; those who knew her best, loved her most. She realized her condition, and said she was ready to go. She said she was going home to her Father. Calling husband and children to her bedside, she talked to them, telling them not to grieve, as she was going to a land where there is no sorrow or care. May this be the happy condition of her husband, and may he so live that when he too is called he will be ready to lay aside the labor staining garments and accept a living crown as was his loving companion who awaits him on the other shore. After funeral services the body was laid to rest in Liberty cemetery. In that bright and glorious morn, Won't it be a happy band, When friends and neighbors meet her In that holy, happy land? Her granddaughter, Nora.
