| Samuel D Bishop (1845-1899) married Viola M Mallory (1851-?) in Santa Clara County, California, on 01 February 1870. He served as a Confederate in the Civil War. Samuel went to California before 1869. He lived in the Fresno area later moving to Nevada City, California, where he worked at the Mayflower Mine. He was killed in a mine explosion in 1899.
