Tyra D (1816-1905) Bishop and Rebecca "Nannie" (Wilburn) Bishop (1816-1899) were married 7 June 1838 and lived northwest of Shamrock, Callaway County. They had ten children, six sons and four daughters, three of which died young. Tyra and Rebecca are buried in the Liberty Church Cemetery, Callaway County. Their former slave/housekeeper, Elvira, is buried by them. She is recorded in the 1870 Census (age 22 thus born about 1848) as their black housekeeper.
