| Photo probably 1890s. Sarah Virginia "Jennie" Bishop (1827-1904) was married 6 Nov 1850 to Shelton Alben Oliver (1822-1882). Shelton came to Montgomery County with his parents in the Autumn of 1826 at age four from Clark County, Kentucky. Jennie came to Montgomery County with her parents when she was eight years old in 1835 from Albemarle County, Virginia. Living in the west Montgomery County area they raised six children with two children dying in infancy and one child at age nine. The Thomas Bishop Day Book passed down thru this family living in the Montgomery County area. Shelton and Jennie Oliver are buried in the Bethel Cemetery in Montgomery County. Some of the children are buried in the Oliver Family Cemetery. | ||

John's parents were Isaac and Rachel (Conkwright) Oliver, Isaac's parents were James and Elizabeth Oliver. Hope this helps, have a little more if you need more on some of the side lines. I want to let you know that I have not researched this line myself, just collected it when I ran across it.
