Pigeon Area of Roane County

My father and I decided to take a short road trip to Flag knob. From dads back yard 

the tower looks so small and far away with a flashing red light.

We came in by way of Pine Grove, then up the hill we went. The road was actually

in good shape, with the exception of 2 places that 4 wheel drive was needed.

There has been well drilling going on all around the hills. So they had the roads in pretty good shape.

And Rattlesnakes by the pound. Stay out of the bush.

This shot was taken at the foot of the hill from the tower,

 looking East, NorthEast, Towards Grannies Creek, Ovapa Area.

I counted 9 ridges deep, I just wish it hadn't been so hazy. It is a Beautiful display of

Rolling Mountains that connect Roane, Clay & Kanawha Counties.
