and this couple and their friends(specifically, as he was lovingly know by my grandmother, Mary Jones as "Down the hill Bill") cared for, Jim and Mary Jones, in their (Bill and Beth's) home during the last years of their (Mary and Jim's)  lives when they could no longer care for themselves.
