6. Allan2 CRATHORNE (Allan1) (#30253) was born in Cockerton, Darlington, Durham about 1836.

He married twice. He married Mary. (Mary is #30255.) Mary was born in Henley-in-Arden, Warwickshire about 1826. At 48 years of age Mary became the mother of Mary CRATHORNE in B?-on-Tees, Co Durham, 1874. He married Alice A -. (Alice A - is #30257.) Alice was born in Darlington, Durham 1844. At 26 years of age Alice became the mother of Georg A CRATHORNE in Cockerton, Darlington, Durham, 1870.

At 34 years of age Allan became the father of Georg A CRATHORNE in Cockerton, Darlington, Durham, 1870. At 38 years of age Allan became the father of Mary CRATHORNE in B?-on-Tees, Co Durham, 1874. He resided in Mainsforth Sedgefield 1881. He resided in Shincliffe, Durham 1891, Elcedu Cottage. According to Frankie Ward, Allan sold the family house (Crathorne Hall?) to pay a £25,000 gambling debt, he lost at Ancaster.

There was also a Henry Crathorne.

Allan CRATHORNE had the following family:

child 10 i. Margaret3 CRATHORNE (#30254). From verbal information from Frankie Ward, Maragret was an artist and member of the Royal Academy and the RSC. She had three husbands - the second a sea captaina ndteh third a sea captain with the name of Shakespeare. She is reputed to have lived at Henley-in-Arden in a house with a river at the bottom of the garden and a mental institute across the river.

Allan CRATHORNE and Alice A - had the following family:

child 11 ii. Georg A CRATHORNE (#30258) was born in Cockerton, Darlington, Durham 1870.

Allan CRATHORNE and Mary had the following family:

child 12 iii. Mary CRATHORNE (#30256) was born in B?-on-Tees, Co Durham 1874. She was listed as Thomas FORSTER's sister-in-law in the 1881 census in Whitworth, Co Durham. The following individuals are also linked to this event: Jane FOSTER (daughter); Alfred Crathorne FOSTER (son); Mary Ann CRATHORNE (wife). Occupation: Milliner's apprenctice 1891 in Shincliffe, Durham. According to verbal evidence this Mary may have been a member of the Royal Academy and lived in Henley-in-Arden.
