2. John² CRIDDLE (xx¹) (#2486) was born in Withiel Florey 17 August 1871. John died 15 April 1909 in Battersea, at 37 years of age.

He married Ada Alice BARKER in Hackney, 18 April 1892. (Ada Alice BARKER is #1650.) Ada was born in Islington, London 25 March 1871. Ada was the daughter of William Robert BARKER and Mary Ann HILDERSLEY. Ada died 13 December 1950 in Hove, Sussex, at 79 years of age. Her body was interred 14 December 1950 in Hove, Sussex. She was listed as William Robert BARKER's daughter in the 1871 census in Islington St Mary, London. The following individuals are also linked to this event: William Shepherd BARKER (son); Frederick Arthur BARKER (son); Thomas BARKER (son); Mary Ann HILDERSLEY (wife). At 28 years of age Ada became the mother of Ernest John CRIDDLE in Camberwell, Surrey, 14 November 1899.
