2. Robert² MOFFAT (James¹) (#1711) was born in Douglas, Lanarkshire 7 February 1778. Robert died 12 March 1870 in Burnfoot Farm, Muirkirk, Ayrshire, at 92 years of age.

He married Helen WATSON in Linburn, Muirkirk, Ayrshire, 25 July 1800. (Helen WATSON is #1712.) Helen was born in Linburn, Muirkirk, Ayrshire. Helen was the daughter of James WATSON and Agnes SCOTLAND. Helen died 1838 in Burnfoot Farm, Muirkirk, Ayrshire. Helen became the mother of Agnes MOFFAT in Muirkirk, Ayrshire, 11 September 1801. Helen became the mother of Mary MOFFAT in Muirkirk, Ayrshire, 4 December 1804. Helen became the mother of James MOFFAT in Crosflat, Muirkirk, Ayrshire, 11 May 1806. Helen became the mother of Robert Aird MOFFAT in Crosflat, Muirkirk, Ayrshire, 21 December 1812. Helen became the mother of David MOFFAT in Muirkirk, Ayrshire, 27 February 1815. At 34 years of age Robert became the father of Robert Aird MOFFAT in Crosflat, Muirkirk, Ayrshire, 21 December 1812. At 37 years of age Robert became the father of David MOFFAT in Muirkirk, Ayrshire, 27 February 1815. At 39 years of age Robert became the father of Helen MOFFAT in Langliehead, Muirkirk, Ayrshire, 15 October 1817. At 41 years of age Robert became the father of Christian MOFFAT in Muirkirk, Ayrshire, 24 September 1819. At 41 years of age Robert became the father of Jean MOFFAT in Muirkirk, Ayrshire, 24 September 1819. At 43 years of age Robert became the father of William MOFFAT in Muirkirk, Ayrshire, 12 August 1821. At 45 years of age Robert became the father of Gavin MOFFAT in Muirkirk, Ayrshire, 11 January 1824.

6 iv. Lillias MOFFAT (#1709) was born in Langliehead, Muirkirk, Ayrshire 18 June 1808. She married John WEIR in Houston and Killellan, Renfrew, 24 January 1840. (John WEIR is #1708.) John was born in Barr by Girvan, Ayrshire 1813. John was the son of Adam WEIR and Isabel GRANGE. At 27 years of age John became the father of Helen WEIR in Houston and Killellan, Renfrew, 4 September 1840. At 28 years of age John became the father of Isabella WEIR in Houston and Killellan, Renfrew, 28 November 1841. At 32 years of age John became the father of Adam WEIR in Cathcart, Renfrew, September1845. At 33 years of age John became the father of Mary WEIR in Cathcart, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, 13 April 1847. At 35 years of age John became the father of Robert WEIR in Cathcart, Renfrew, 3 May 1849. At 37 years of age John became the father of John WEIR in Cathcart, Glasgow, 24 June1851. 10 viii. Helen MOFFAT (#1719) was born in Langliehead, Muirkirk, Ayrshire 15 October 1817. Helen died 21 June 1878 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, at 60 years of age. She married twice. She married David ANDERSON in Muirkirk, Ayrshire, 15 September 1837. (David ANDERSON is #2469.) David died BEFORE 1860. Occupation: farmer in Auldhouse Burn, Muirkirk, Ayrshire. Occupation: labourer 1841 in Glasgow Road, Muirkirk, Ayrshire. She married Robert GASH in Muirkirk, Ayrshire, 6 March 1860. (Robert GASH is #2470.)

11 ix. Christian MOFFAT (#1720) was born in Muirkirk, Ayrshire 24 September 1819. She was christened in Muirkirk, Ayrshire, 8 October 1819.
