James was born 1754. Occupation: Weaver in Roxburghshire. At 26 years of age James became the father of Janet BROWN in Darnick, Roxburghshire, 1780. At 28 years of age James became the father of Margaret BROWN in Darnick, Roxburghshire, 1782. At 31 years of age James became the father of George BROWN in Darnick, Roxburghshire, 1785. At 34 years of age James became the father of John BROWN in Darnick, Roxburghshire, 1788. At 37 years of age James became the father of Jean BROWN in Darnick, Roxburghshire, 1791. She was christened in Melrose, Roxburghshire, 1 May 1748. At 32 years of age Margaret became the mother of Janet BROWN in Darnick, Roxburghshire, 1780. At 34 years of age Margaret became the mother of Margaret BROWN in Darnick, Roxburghshire, 1782. At 37 years of age Margaret became the mother of George BROWN in Darnick, Roxburghshire, 1785. At 40 years of age Margaret became the mother of John BROWN in Darnick, Roxburghshire, 1788. At 43 years of age Margaret became the mother of Jean BROWN in Darnick, Roxburghshire, 1791.

3 ii. Agnes BUTLER (#1131) was born in Melrose, Roxburghshire 1750. She was christened in Melrose, Roxburghshire, 14 May 1750.
