5. Edward⁵ RAINE (Edward⁴, Robert³, William², William¹) (#504) was born in Romaldkirk, N Yorks 14 March 1714.

He married Ann BAINBRIDGE in Romaldkirk, N Yorks, 22 July 1738. (Ann BAINBRIDGE is #505.) Ann was the daughter of Thomas BAINBRIDGE and Margaret GASTELL. Ann became the mother of Elizabeth RAINE in Middleton-in-Teesdale, 31 March 1738. Ann became the mother of Edward RAINE in Middleton-in-Teesdale, 17 July 1740. Ann became the mother of Thomas RAINE in Middleton-in-Teesdale, 28 September 1742. Ann became the mother of John RAINE in Middleton-in-Teesdale, 1 July 1744. Ann became the mother of William RAINE in Middleton-in-Teesdale, 9 February 1745.

At 24 years of age Edward became the father of Elizabeth RAINE in Middleton-in-Teesdale, 31 March 1738. At 26 years of age Edward became the father of Edward RAINE in Middleton-in-Teesdale, 17 July 1740. At 28 years of age Edward became the father of Thomas RAINE in Middleton-in-Teesdale, 28 September 1742. At 30 years of age Edward became the father of John RAINE in Middleton-in-Teesdale, 1 July 1744. At 30 years of age Edward became the father of William RAINE in Middleton-in-Teesdale, 9 February 1745.

Edward RAINE and Ann BAINBRIDGE had the following family:

6 i. Elizabeth⁶ RAINE (#510) was born in Middleton-in-Teesdale 31 March 1738.

7 ii. Edward RAINE (#508) was born in Middleton-in-Teesdale 17 July 1740. He married Jane PERKIN 1764. (Jane PERKIN is #509.) Jane was born in Romaldkirk, N Yorks.

8 iii. Thomas RAINE (#507) was born in Middleton-in-Teesdale 28 September 1742.

9 iv. John RAINE (#506) was born in Middleton-in-Teesdale 1 July 1744. John died 1783 at 39 years of age.

+ 10 v. William RAINE was born 9 February 1745.
