My FREEMAN ancestors originated in the village of Tredington, Warwickshire, and moved via Leamington Spa and Cheltenham to Middlesex. With a marriage of Sarah Ann Eynon came my Welsh connection. Sarah's father was George Eynon born in Swansea and his wife Jane Morgan, from Devon, worked for the Duke of Bedford at Woburn and in London and at in Liege, Belgium, where the Russell family had estates.Jane Morgan's was a gentleman farmer in Devon by all accounts. I have started the charts with Richard Riley, the father-in-law of the first John Freeman. The Freemans maried Margaraet Sarah Nott whose mother was Sarah Norman
I am extrenely grateful to my first cousin once removed, Chris Freeman, for the early family research and to John Lee for filling in some of the many missing links in the 20th century. Their invaluable help and my own memories of my maternal grandparents and their families form the basis of the study of this particular branch of my ancestors.
