W DICKINSON DESCENDENTS

I have yet to trace the origin of my Dickinson ancestors earlier then Samuel Dickinson who married in Westminster, London (then Middlesex) in 1848 and a mention of his father, W Dickinson on his birth certificate as a farmer. He has so far eluded me but there are a number of Walter of William Dickinsons about England and he will be found. The Dickinosn are prevalent in Cumbrias and it is thought that my ancestors too came originally from aroundthe north west.
