The Cornwall ONLINE PARISH CLERK Project
is comprised of a group of volunteers who aid genealogical researchers at no cost.
I will be offering genealogical and family history data for Week St Mary,
including Baptisms, Marriage and Burials.
If you have any resources for Week St Mary that you would be willing to donate,
I would be more than happy to receive them!
The parish of WEEK ST MARY is bound on the north by Marhamchurch,
on the east by Whitstone, North Tamerton and Boyton,
on the south by North Petherwin (which was in Devon) and a detached part of Jacobstow,
and on the west by Jacobstow and Poundstock and comprises 6123 acres of land.
The village of Week St Mary is the only village in the parish.
St Mary ~ the Parish church was built in 1643
The Wesleyan Methodists had a chapel at Week Orchard built pre-1800,
and the United Methodist Free Church had a chapel in Churchtown built in 1844.
The Bible Christians built the Zion chapel within the village in 1843,
and another at Bakesdon (Bakesdown) in 1833.

What is an Online Parish Clerk?
The term OPC refers to a genealogical volunteer,
who should not be confused with a Parish Council appointed Parish Clerk.
Please visit the Cornwall On-line Parish Clerk website for more details of the OPC project.

While I have made every effort to ensure accuracy in my transcribing, mistakes will inevitably occur.
Researchers should always check original documents.
