FIRST GENERATION

 

1.  Henry Clifton Cole was born about 1790 in North Carolina.  Henry Cole was in the 1830 census in Madison Co, AL and 1840 Census in Lincoln County, Tennessee.
He and Rebecca and family were in the 1850 census in Lincoln Co, and in the 1860 census in Giles County, Tennessee.
Henry and Rebecca are named in the Estate of Samuel Holloway in Madison Co, AL.

 

He was married to Rebecca Holloway (daughter of Samuel Holloway Jr and Rebekah) in Madison County, Alabama.  Rebecca Holloway was born about 1806 in Virginia. 
Henry Clifton Cole and Rebecca Holloway had the following children:

              8                   vii.    John A Cole was born on May 28, 1835 in Pulaski, Giles, Tennessee.  He died on April 11, 1909.

            +9                  viii.    Willis Fletcher Cole (born on November 25, 1840).

SECOND GENERATION

 

2.  Josiah "Sipe" Cole (Henry Clifton-1)  was born on November 17, 1844.  He died on March 3, 1919.  He was buried Marks Cemetery, Aspen Hill, TN.

 

He was married to Martha E Davidson (daughter of Anderson L "Dick" Davidson and Margaret Stutts) on August 12, 1868 in Giles County, Tennessee.
  Martha E Davidson was born on July 12, 1851.  She died on July 5, 1915.  She was buried in Marks Cemetary, Aspen Hills, TN.
 Josiah "Sipe" Cole and Martha E Davidson had the following children:

 

          +11                      i.    William Kelly Cole (born on March 13, 1870).

          +12                     ii.    Henry James Cole (born in 1874/75).

          +13                    iii.    Laura M Cole .

            14                    iv.    Josiah Cole was born on March 17, 1880.  He died in November 1967 in New Tazewell, Claiborne, TN.  He had Social Security Number 413-64-6298.

          +15                     v.    Ella M Cole (born in 1882).

          +16                    vi.    Pearl Cole.

          +17                   vii.    Hortense Cole.

 

He was married to Frances "Fannie" Sarah Cole (daughter of William Cole and Mary Jane Howard) in 1915.  Frances "Fannie" Sarah Cole was born on March 16, 1874.  She died.

 

4.  Thomas F Cole (Henry Clifton-1) was born about 1835 in Tennessee.

 

He was married to Sarah Ann Harrison.  Thomas F Cole and Sarah Ann Harrison had the following children:

5.  William Ferrell Cole (Henry Clifton-1)  was born on March 9, 1846 in Lincoln County, Tennessee.  He died on August 23, 1909 in Aspermont, Stonewall County, Texas.

 

He was married to Melisa Hugh Blow on December 23, 1868 in Giles County, Tennessee.   William Ferrell Cole and Melisa Hugh Blow had the following children:

He was married to Melissa Jane "Jennie" Carlisle on April 5, 1894 in Giles County, Tennessee.

 

6.  Clifton Taylor Cole (Henry Clifton-1)  was born on October 7, 1862 in Lincoln County, Tennessee.  He died on February 28, 1930 in Pulaski, Giles, Tennessee.

 

He was married to Jane Elliston.  Jane Elliston was born on October 3, 1856.  She died on February 26, 1930.  She was buried in Maplewood Cemetary, Pulaski, TN.

 

9.  Willis Fletcher Cole (Henry Clifton-1)  was born on November 25, 1840 in Lincoln County, Tennessee.  He died on June 25, 1902.

 

He was married to Charlotte C Blow on December 20, 1866.

 

He was married to Sarah Elizabeth "Sally" Creecy.   Willis Fletcher Cole and Sarah Elizabeth "Sally" Creecy had the following children:

10.  James W Cole (Henry Clifton-1) was born on April 9, 1834 in Pulaski, Giles, Tennessee.  He died on June 23, 1908.

 

He was married to Edna Ann.  James W Cole and Edna Ann had the following children:

THIRD GENERATION

 

11.  William Kelly Cole (Josiah "Sipe"-2, Henry Clifton-1) was born on March 13, 1870 in Giles County, Tennessee.  He died on March 9, 1915. 
He was buried in Marks Cemetary, Aspen Hills, TN.

 

He was married to Julia Velma Callahan (daughter of Henry William Callahan and Mattie Ogles).  Julia Velma Callahan was born on April 27, 1878 in Morgan County, AL.
  She died on December 16, 1946 in Nashville, Davidson, Tennessee.  She was buried on December 18, 1946 in Maplewood Cemetary, Pulaski, TN. 
Velma had another child - Katherine by a second marriage, This marriage was to a Rogers. Her sons wanted her to be buried as a Cole, and so she was.
  William Kelly Cole and Julia Velma Callahan had the following children:

12.  Henry James Cole (Josiah "Sipe"-2, Henry Clifton-1) was born in 1874/75.  He died in 1949 in Giles Co TN.  He was buried in Maplewood Cemetary, Pulaski, TN.

 

He was married to Anna A Arthur.  Anna A Arthur was born in 1876.  She died in 1950.  She was buried in Maplewood Cemetary, Pulaski, TN. 
Henry James Cole and Anna A Arthur had the following children:

13.  Laura M Cole (Josiah "Sipe"-2, Henry Clifton-1) . 

 

She was married to Richard Arthur.

 

 15.  Ella M Cole (Josiah "Sipe"-2, Henry Clifton-1)  was born in 1882.  She died in 1954.

 

She was married to William Cole.  William Cole was born in 1886.  He died in 1968.

 

16.  Pearl Cole (Josiah "Sipe"-2, Henry Clifton-1) . 

 

She was married to Scrugg.

 

17.  Hortense Cole (Josiah "Sipe"-2, Henry Clifton-1) . 

 

She was married to Fogg.

 

18.  Fletcher Cole (Thomas F-2, Henry Clifton-1). 

 

Frances "Fannie" Sarah Cole (daughter of William Cole and Mary Jane Howard)  was born on March 16, 1874.  She died.
 Fletcher Cole and Frances "Fannie" Sarah Cole had the following children:

19.  Rebecca Cole  (Thomas F-2, Henry Clifton-1). 

 

She was married to Samuel Houston Cole (son of William Cole and Mary Jane Howard).

 

20.   Robert Henry Cole (William Ferrell-2, Henry Clifton-1) was born in December 1869 in Giles County, Tennessee.

 

He was married to Mary Etta Stinnett.

 

 21.  David Andrew Cole (William Ferrell-2, Henry Clifton-1)  was born on November 24, 1873 in Giles County, Tennessee.

 

He was married to Lou Alice Kimbrough.

 

22.   Jennie M Cole (William Ferrell-2, Henry Clifton-1) was born in August 1879.

 

She was married to Mitchell Eubank.

 

 23.  Annie Mendoza Wyatt "Dozie" Cole (William Ferrell-2, Henry Clifton-1)  was born in October 1881.

 

She was married to John Thomas Meadows in Texas.

 

24.  Mary Asterbulah Cole (William Ferrell-2, Henry Clifton-1)  was born in October 1884.

 

She was married to Samuel Cox Reed.

 

25.  Willis Flournoy Cole (Willis Fletcher-2, Henry Clifton-1)  was born on April 4, 1879 in Pulaski, Giles Co, TN.

He was married to Laura Mullis.   Laura Mullis was born in 1859.
