Simeon Moberly Will
Kno all men by these presents, that I Simeon Moberly, of the County of Clinton, and the State of Missouri, being in ill health, but of sound disposing mind and memory, and calling to mind the certainty of death, and being desirous of making a disposition of what property I have been blessed with, do publish and declar this to be my last will and testament, First after my death my wish and desire is that my funeral expenses be paid by my Executors out of the first assets that come into their hands, as well as all other just debts that may be proved up against my estate according to law - Second it is my wish and desire that my wife Artemecia Moberly occupy and possess my farm and lands thereunto belonging during her lifetime or widowhood together with all my personal estate, with the following exceptions, that is to say, it is my desire and will that my Daughter Mirnerva E. McWilliams is to have her support out of my farm during her lifetime or widowhood, together with her little daughter as they have been heretofore, and it is further my will and desire that my son Benjamin A. Moberly live with my wife to assist in carrying on the farm and to receive such compensation or share of the crop or products of the farm as they can agree upon, and it is further my will and desire that my two youngest sons Lafayette Moberly and James E. Moberly, remain and assist in carrying on the farm and to have their support and education out of the same - third it is my will and desire that after the death or widowhood of my wife, my three youngest sons Benjamin A. Moberly, Lafayette Moberly and James E. Moberly have all of my lands fee simple to own and enjoy it for ever, provided however that they at the death of my wife and arriving to the years of maturity, pay to the balance of my heirs the sum of one thousand dollars - it is further my will and desire that any money or proceeds that may come into the hands of my executors from two Negro boys in the State of Arcansas be equally divided among my wife and children - and it is further my will and desire that after the death or widowhood of my wife that the balance of my Negroes and other personal property be sold, and equally divided among all of my children, in this as in all former paragraphs of this my last will and testament. My grandchildren of James B Greens family is to receive one share - forth I constitute and appoint my sons Henry B. Moberly and Benjamin A.
